Part-Time Project Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Part-Time (Up to 30 hours per week)
Compensation: $18-$20/hr.
Benefits: This is a part-time position and is not currently eligible for employee benefits.

Position Summary
The Elyria Community Partnership (ECP) is seeking a highly organized, creative, and self-motivated professional to serve as our Part-Time Project Coordinator. This position plays a critical role in advancing ECP’s mission by coordinating community development projects, supporting downtown revitalization initiatives, managing organizational communications, and assisting with business development efforts.

Working closely with the Executive Director, this individual will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate with businesses, volunteers, funders, and community partners, and help ensure initiatives are completed on time and with excellence. No two days look the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, relationship-building, and making a visible impact in the community.

Essential Responsibilities
Project Management
● Coordinate and manage community development projects from planning through implementation.
● Track project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
● Communicate regularly with contractors, consultants, sponsors, and community partners.
● Assist with grant implementation and reporting.
● Prepare project updates for leadership and the Board of Directors.
Downtown & Business Development
● Support downtown revitalization initiatives and beautification efforts.
● Assist with business retention, expansion, and attraction activities.
● Coordinate programs including the Vibrancy Fund, Grow Ely, and other economic development initiatives.
● Build relationships with downtown businesses and property owners.
Marketing & Communications
● Manage ECP’s social media platforms.
● Develop engaging graphics, videos, and written content highlighting projects, businesses, and community impact.
● Coordinate newsletters, website updates, and digital communications.
● Maintain ECP’s communication calendar and marketing schedule.
Events & Community Engagement
● Assist in planning and executing community events including Third Thursdays, Dining Under the Stars, ribbon cuttings, and project unveilings.
● Coordinate volunteers, vendors, and event logistics.
● Represent ECP at meetings, networking events, and community functions.
Administrative Support
● Maintain organized project documentation and files.
● Assist with meeting preparation, agendas, and follow-up.
● Track invoices, sponsorship information, and project expenses.
● Perform additional duties that support the organization’s mission.

What We’re Looking For
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, Business, Community Development, Urban Planning, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
● Experience in project coordination, nonprofit work, communications, event planning, marketing, community development, or a related field preferred.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and common digital communication platforms.
● Experience with Canva and social media management is preferred.
● A willingness to learn new software and adapt to changing priorities.
● Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for community meetings and special events.
